What Your Offsets provides.
Your Offsets is a membership service. Each month, we purchase voluntary carbon credits from independently verified third-party projects and retire them on your behalf. Retirement means the credit is permanently removed from circulation in a public registry and cannot be resold or counted again. The annual volume of credits retired on your behalf is determined by your membership tier: Starter (4 tons of CO₂e per year), Footprint (16 tons per year), and Beyond (28 tons per year), accrued monthly on a pro-rated basis.
What Your Offsets does not provide.
We do not measure, calculate, or verify your personal or household carbon footprint. Tier volumes are fixed amounts; the Footprint tier is sized with reference to the approximate average annual footprint of a U.S. resident, which may be higher or lower than your own. Membership does not constitute a certification that you, your household, or your organization is carbon neutral, net zero, or any similar designation. Your Offsets is not an investment product, and carbon credits retired on your behalf have no resale value and confer no ownership interest.
Purchase and retirement timing.
Credits are purchased and retired in periodic cycles, typically monthly. Your dashboard reflects membership accrual continuously; the corresponding registry retirements occur on our purchase schedule. Current project details are available to all active members through the Your Offsets carbon dashboard.
Billing and cancellation.
Memberships are billed monthly through our payment processor. You may cancel at any time from your account; cancellation stops future billing and future accrual. Credits already retired on your behalf remain permanently retired.
Dashboard and estimates.
Impact equivalents shown on your dashboard (such as miles not driven or trees planted) are illustrative estimates derived from U.S. EPA greenhouse gas equivalency factors and are provided for context only.
Changes to projects and suppliers.
We select projects and suppliers at our discretion and may change them over time. Current project details are available to all active members through the Your Offsets carbon dashboard.
Limitation of liability; governing law.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Your Offsets and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of data, loss of goodwill, or service interruption, arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the Service, even if Your Offsets has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Your Offsets does not guarantee any specific environmental outcome, carbon reduction result, or third-party project performance. Carbon offset projects are operated by independent third parties and verified by independent certification bodies. Your Offsets makes no warranty, express or implied, regarding the permanence, additionality, or real-world impact of any specific offset project funded through your membership. Your subscription funds the purchase and retirement of carbon credits on your behalf; it does not constitute an investment or financial instrument of any kind.
In no event shall Your Offsets’ total cumulative liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service exceed the greater of (a) the total amount paid by you to Your Offsets in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. If these laws apply to you, some or all of the above exclusions or limitations may not apply, and you may have additional rights.
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or related to them or the Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the federal or state courts located in Hennepin County, Minnesota, and you hereby consent to personal jurisdiction and venue in those courts.
